AMIRI Tokyo Private Retail Activation: Bespoke Catering Inspired by the Autumn/Winter 2026 Collection
For an intimate private activation at the AMIRI Tokyo boutique in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo Catering Club created a complete hospitality concept inspired by the artistic direction of the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection: burgundy and sage green, Japanese ingredients, American cultural references, bespoke cocktails, branded gifting, flowers and discreet in-store service.
AMIRI Tokyo Activation at a Glance
- Client: AMIRI Tokyo
- Location: Minami-Aoyama, near Omotesando, Tokyo
- Format: Intimate private retail activation for invited guests
- Creative palette: Burgundy and sage green
- Culinary direction: Japanese ingredients interpreted through elevated American references
- Scope: Bespoke finger food, signature cocktails, branded chocolate gifts, flowers, printed collateral, setup and on-site service
In luxury retail, hospitality is most effective when it feels inseparable from the brand experience. Food, drinks, service, gifting and printed details should not compete with the collection or the boutique. They should translate the same creative direction into another sensory language.
In July 2026, Tokyo Catering Club supported a private client activation at the AMIRI Tokyo boutique in Minami-Aoyama, close to Omotesando. The project was developed as a complete luxury retail hospitality programme rather than a standard catering delivery.
The brief connected culinary design with the artistic direction shared for AMIRI’s Autumn/Winter 2026 collection. Burgundy and sage green became the visual foundation of the menu and drinks, while Japanese ingredients were combined with recognisable American food references. The result reflected the house’s chic, confident and rock-influenced character without turning the hospitality into literal decoration.
This approach is central to our work in luxury brand and gala event catering in Tokyo: the objective is not simply to serve premium food, but to create a coherent brand environment that functions smoothly inside a real venue.
The Brief: Translating Fashion Direction into Hospitality
A luxury boutique activation has a different rhythm from a hotel reception, gala dinner or conventional cocktail event. The merchandise, the retail team and the relationship with invited clients remain central. Hospitality must support conversation, movement and discovery while remaining controlled, elegant and operationally discreet.
For AMIRI Tokyo, the creative direction required us to:
- follow the burgundy and sage-green palette of the Autumn/Winter 2026 direction;
- combine Japanese products with American culinary markers;
- retain the brand’s polished yet rebellious, rock-influenced energy;
- create food that guests could enjoy easily while moving through the boutique;
- coordinate drinks, gifting, flowers and printed materials as one visual system;
- protect the boutique through controlled delivery, setup, replenishment and breakdown.
For international fashion houses operating in Japan, this balance between creative alignment and local execution is essential. Our event catering service for overseas clients in Tokyo connects global brand expectations with Japanese venue rules, supplier networks and operating standards.
A Bespoke Menu: Japanese Ingredients, American References, AMIRI Attitude
The menu was conceived around the contrast at the heart of the brief: Japanese ingredients and precision, interpreted through elevated American comfort-food references. Rather than reproducing familiar dishes, Tokyo Catering Club redesigned their scale, colour, finish and presentation for an intimate luxury retail setting.
Caviar Nuggets
The caviar nuggets transformed an immediately recognisable American snack into a playful luxury bite. The golden exterior created a deliberate contrast with the caviar, bringing together comfort food, indulgence and a slightly irreverent attitude. It was refined enough for a private boutique event while preserving the direct, confident energy of the original reference.
Squid-Ink Bun with Japanese Wagyu
A deep-black squid-ink bun framed Japanese Wagyu in a compact burger format. The piece linked Japanese product quality with American burger culture, while the monochrome exterior added a sharper, rock-influenced visual note. Its scale made it easy to serve and enjoy without interrupting the guest journey through the boutique.
Velvet Chiffon Cake
The Velvet Chiffon Cake introduced the burgundy direction into the dessert presentation. Its light chiffon texture contrasted with the richness suggested by its deep velvet colour, creating a piece that felt polished, graphic and closely connected to the collection’s visual palette.
Together, these menu highlights expressed the concept without becoming costume-like: Japanese craftsmanship, American cultural markers and the chic, rock-inflected spirit associated with AMIRI. The same principle guides our broader approach to custom luxury catering for brands and VIP events in Tokyo.
Two Signature Cocktails in Burgundy and Sage Green
The beverage programme was treated as part of the art direction, not as a generic bar selection. Two original cocktails translated the event palette into contrasting flavours, glassware and visual identities.
Cherry Afterglow
Cherry Afterglow was built around The Deacon blended Scotch whisky, cranberry juice, cherry juice and an Amarena cherry. The whisky’s smoky character brought depth to the fruit profile, while the dark cherry colour echoed the burgundy direction of the collection.
The visual identity of The Deacon also contributed to the presentation. Its copper-toned, steampunk-inspired bottle design introduced an industrial and theatrical element that felt compatible with the darker, rock-driven side of the event concept.
Hollywood Green Room
Hollywood Green Room combined Roku Japanese Gin, lime, elderflower and sage. Roku’s Japanese botanical identity created a natural connection to the local setting, while the pale sage-green appearance provided a fresh visual counterpoint to Cherry Afterglow.
The two cocktails worked as a pair: one dark, smoky and jewel-toned; the other bright, aromatic and green. Their names, ingredients, colours and presentation allowed the drinks to become recognisable components of the activation rather than interchangeable refreshments.
Branded Chocolate Gifts: Cassis, Matcha and a Final Guest Touchpoint
The hospitality journey continued after the in-store service through a personalised take-home gift. Each box contained two chocolates in cassis and matcha flavours, sourced from the Pastry Boutique at Park Hyatt Tokyo.
The flavour pairing reinforced the event’s dialogue between international luxury and Japanese taste: cassis brought a deep fruit note aligned with the burgundy palette, while matcha provided a distinctly Japanese counterpart.
Each box was completed with a custom AMIRI label in a warm off-white tone selected to integrate naturally with the original packaging. The label dimensions were developed to cover the existing branding cleanly, giving the final gift a deliberate and cohesive appearance.
Menus, Food Flags, Flowers and Printed Brand Details
Printed collateral included individual menus, branded food flags and table signage. Their role was functional, but they also created continuity between the food, drinks, gifts and boutique environment.
- Menus remained refined and easy to read at close range.
- Food flags used the available dimensions efficiently while preserving the AMIRI mark.
- Chocolate labels covered the original box branding precisely.
- Table panels retained the supplied artwork, proportions and spacing.
- Paper, matte and gloss finishes were selected according to the object and its use.
Floral arrangements were integrated at several heights and scales. Taller compositions created presence, while smaller arrangements added detail without obstructing products, sightlines or service movement. The flowers supported the burgundy and sage-green direction while allowing the boutique itself to remain visually dominant.
This attention to production detail is explored further in our guide to luxury brand hospitality in Tokyo.
Operational Hospitality Behind the Visual Experience
Luxury retail spaces are rarely designed as catering venues. Production kitchens, storage, washing areas and conventional back-of-house infrastructure may be absent. Delivery access may be restricted, and the setup window may be short.
For this activation, culinary production took place off-site. Transport, final presentation, beverage preparation, replenishment and breakdown were planned around the boutique’s schedule and available space. This kept visible activity controlled and protected the store environment.
The team coordinated food, cocktails, glassware, chocolate gifts, flowers, printed materials and on-site service as one operation. This is the distinction between delivering catering and designing a temporary hospitality system.

The Result: A Private Shopping Experience with Its Own Identity
Following the activation, the client shared positive feedback on how the hospitality had made the private shopping experience feel distinct from a regular boutique visit.
That response reflects the purpose of luxury retail catering. Food should not become the centre of attention at the expense of the collection. Instead, it should make the entire visit feel warmer, more personal and more memorable.
For AMIRI Tokyo, the relationship between the burgundy and sage-green palette, Japanese ingredients, American references, cocktails, flowers, chocolate gifts and printed details created a unified guest experience.
A comparable level of venue-specific planning informed our hospitality programme for the opening of the world’s first Romain Gauthier salon in Ginza, where a luxury watch boutique was transformed for private receptions and gastronomic dinners.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a catering concept be inspired by a fashion collection?
Yes. Tokyo Catering Club can translate a collection’s colours, materials, cultural references and creative direction into menu design, signature drinks, printed details, gifting and service style.
What food works best for a private luxury boutique event?
Compact finger food generally works well because guests can eat comfortably while standing, speaking and moving through the store. Each piece must be visually precise, stable during service and adapted to the boutique’s operational limitations.
Can Tokyo Catering Club create branded cocktails and gifts?
Yes. We develop signature cocktails and mocktails, source premium confectionery, coordinate custom labels and packaging, and align colours, names, garnishes and presentation with the event concept.
How do you cater inside a boutique without a kitchen?
Production takes place in our professional kitchen, while transport, temperature control, final presentation, beverage preparation and replenishment are designed around the venue.
Can Tokyo Catering Club coordinate with overseas headquarters and Japanese venue teams?
Yes. Our team provides bilingual English-Japanese coordination and can work directly with overseas brand teams, local offices, agencies, suppliers, security and building management.

AMIRI Tokyo
Cherry Afterglow
The Deacon
Hollywood Green Room
