Tokyo Catering Club × Pieroth Japan: Wine Pairing, Bespoke Catering & Wine Experiences in Tokyo

Tokyo Catering Club and Pieroth Japan bring together culinary direction, premium wines and event hospitality to create bespoke food and wine experiences in Tokyo.

At Tokyo Catering Club, some of our most interesting projects begin not with a predefined menu, but with a wine, a product, a season or a story.

For September 2026, Tokyo Catering Club collaborated with Pieroth Japan on a special edition of its Wine Pairing Subscription, built around the theme of an autumn home party in Japan.

Three wines selected by Pieroth Japan were paired with three original culinary creations developed by Tokyo Catering Club, combining seasonal ingredients, European culinary references, Japanese sensibility and visual storytelling.

The collaboration was presented in an official Pieroth Japan video featuring Anthony Gourmel, Representative Director & CEO of Pieroth Japan, together with Antreas Garabedian, CEO of Tokyo Catering Club, who leads TCC’s artistic and culinary direction.

For us, this project represents more than a single video or seasonal collaboration. It illustrates how our relationship with Pieroth Japan allows Tokyo Catering Club to develop a much broader wine and beverage offering for corporate events, luxury brand activations, product launches, private hospitality and bespoke experiences across Tokyo and Japan.

Designing Food Around the Wine

Wine is often selected once an event menu has already been established. For this collaboration, we approached the process in reverse: each culinary creation was developed around the identity of the wine, considering its origin, aromatic profile, structure, season and the story we wanted the final pairing to communicate.

Autumn Iberico Toast × Valformosa Origen Cava Brut Reserva Organic 2023

Inspired by pan con tomate, the first creation was adapted for the beginning of autumn using Iberico ham, olive oil and garlic.

The freshness and fine bubbles of the Cava contrast with the richness and salinity of the Iberico ham, creating a pairing that remains simple, immediately understandable and balanced.

Pumpkin Tartlet Inspired by Klimt’s Golden World × Kleine Sünde Gelber Muskateller 2025

For the Austrian Gelber Muskateller, the creative direction moved beyond flavour and into visual storytelling.

Inspired by Gustav Klimt’s Golden Period, Tokyo Catering Club developed a seasonal pumpkin tartlet with Gorgonzola. The natural sweetness of pumpkin responds to the aromatic character of the wine, while the creamy salinity of the cheese brings contrast and structure.

Gold tones, autumn colours and the cultural reference to Klimt became part of the presentation itself, allowing the dish to communicate the concept before it was even tasted.

Kagoshima Wagyu Mini Buns & Autumn Truffle Mayonnaise × Cigalus Rouge 2022

The final creation was designed for the most structured wine of the selection.

Kagoshima Wagyu brings richness and depth, while autumn truffle mayonnaise adds an aromatic dimension capable of responding to the complexity of Cigalus Rouge.

Presented in a refined miniature format, the dish reflects an approach we regularly use for luxury and VIP events in Tokyo: familiar and enjoyable food elevated through exceptional ingredients, precision and presentation.

Together, the three creations form a progression from fresh and delicate to rich and indulgent, while offering three different interpretations of autumn.

More Than a Wine Supplier: Expanding the Tokyo Catering Club Experience

Our relationship with Pieroth Japan extends well beyond this particular Wine Pairing project.

Tokyo Catering Club already presents Pieroth Japan as one of its specialist wine partners, helping us connect our culinary work with a broad international wine portfolio. Pieroth’s network spans producers, regions and styles from around the world, giving us the flexibility to build beverage programs around the specific level, audience and identity of each event.

This means that wine does not need to be treated as a standard add-on to the catering. It can become an integral part of the guest experience.

Depending on the project, Tokyo Catering Club can develop:

  • curated wine selections adapted to the menu, budget and event format;
  • bespoke food and wine pairings developed with our culinary team;
  • Champagne and sparkling wine programs for receptions and VIP events;
  • guided wine tastings with sommeliers or wine specialists;
  • sommelier-led food and wine pairing experiences;
  • interactive wine tasting stations for corporate and brand events;
  • premium wine service for gala dinners, executive dinners and private hospitality;
  • wine selections built around a country, region, grape variety, producer, season or event theme;
  • complete food, wine, glassware, staffing and service coordination for bespoke events.

For a corporate reception, this may mean selecting wines that remain approachable for an international audience. For a gala dinner, it may involve developing a sequence of pairings around each course. For a luxury activation or product launch, the wine itself can become part of the storytelling through its origin, producer, colour, character or presentation.

For wine-focused events, we can go further by building the hospitality experience around the bottles themselves, combining guided tastings, sommelier explanations and food specifically designed to accompany the selected wines.

This breadth of possibilities is one of the reasons our collaboration with Pieroth Japan is particularly valuable to TCC and to our clients. It complements the wider corporate catering, beverage and event hospitality solutions we already provide in Tokyo.

From Kylie Minogue Wines to the September 2026 Pairing Collaboration

The September project is also part of an established relationship between Tokyo Catering Club and Pieroth Japan.

In 2025, Tokyo Catering Club provided catering for Pieroth Japan around Kylie Minogue’s visit to Japan and the Japanese launch of Kylie Minogue Prosecco and Prosecco Rosé.

The launch coincided with Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour visit to Tokyo and the introduction of her sparkling wines to the Japanese market by Pieroth Japan. For Tokyo Catering Club, the project was a natural meeting point between product launch, wine, entertainment and premium hospitality.

This previous collaboration is also documented in our Media & Publications section, alongside the new September 2026 Pieroth Japan video feature and other selected collaborations.

The Kylie Minogue project is particularly representative of the way we approach product launches. The objective is not simply to place food next to a product. The menu, beverages, presentation and service should support the story being told by the brand and the reason guests have been brought together.

A wine launch requires a different culinary language from an automotive event. A fashion activation requires a different visual approach from a diplomatic reception. A private tasting requires a different rhythm from a large corporate cocktail. Understanding those differences is central to bespoke hospitality.

Culinary Direction Beyond the Menu

A successful hospitality concept does not necessarily begin with a list of dishes.

For a luxury brand, wine house or international company, the starting point may instead be a product, a campaign, a colour palette, a cultural reference, a destination, a collection or a particular season.

Our role is to translate that starting point into food and hospitality.

As CEO of Tokyo Catering Club, Antreas Garabedian leads the company’s artistic and culinary direction, working together with TCC’s chefs, beverage specialists and trusted partners to develop concepts in which flavour, presentation and storytelling remain coherent.

This philosophy is part of the broader Tokyo Catering Club approach to culinary excellence, hospitality and precision: food must first be genuinely good, but it must also make sense for the event, the client, the venue and the guest.

For brand activations and media launches in particular, the food and beverage program can become an extension of the creative direction. Our portfolio includes examples of bespoke food and beverage concepts developed around brand identity, VIP hospitality and international events in Japan.

Creating Bespoke Wine Tastings and Food Pairing Events in Tokyo

The relationship with Pieroth Japan gives Tokyo Catering Club additional depth when clients want wine to play a central role in an event.

Pieroth Japan works with an extensive international portfolio and regularly brings together producers and wines from numerous regions. Its large-scale tasting events in Japan demonstrate the diversity of that network, creating opportunities to explore everything from accessible event selections to distinctive bottles and producer-led experiences.

For TCC clients, this allows us to imagine formats such as:

  • a private sommelier-led tasting for executives or VIP guests;
  • a food and wine pairing dinner built course by course;
  • a Champagne reception paired with bespoke canapés;
  • a regional wine journey with matching culinary creations;
  • a wine discovery station within a larger corporate reception;
  • a producer or product launch supported by custom catering;
  • a private client evening combining guided tasting and premium hospitality.

These formats can be adapted to Japanese and international audiences and integrated into projects managed by TCC from menu development through staffing, equipment, service and on-site execution.

For overseas agencies and international teams producing events in Japan, our dedicated support for overseas clients also provides a local operational structure for coordinating hospitality in Tokyo.

A Partnership Based on Complementary Expertise

The relationship between Tokyo Catering Club and Pieroth Japan works because each company brings a different expertise to the table.

Pieroth brings wine knowledge, access to an extensive portfolio and relationships with producers from around the world. Tokyo Catering Club brings culinary development, artistic direction, event hospitality, service and on-site execution.

Together, this makes it possible to create experiences in which wine, food, presentation and service are considered as one coherent project rather than separate components.

The September 2026 Wine Pairing Subscription is a particularly visible example of this approach, but it represents only one of the ways Pieroth wines and expertise can be integrated into Tokyo Catering Club events.

For those interested in discovering the scale and diversity of Pieroth Japan’s wine network, the company also hosts Pieroth The Experience, its major tasting event bringing together wines and producers from around the world.
